Title: Rule Changes When Both Parties Agree
TotalWarFanatic - May 11, 2007 01:03 PM (GMT)
...are allowed, correct? I just want to clarify as I do not see this in the rules.

and is a max on berserkers necessary? they are pretty balanced now and we all know how to counter them
The Titan - May 11, 2007 03:21 PM (GMT)
max on beserkers was becuase people could spam 6 which is tough to beat id imagine...i dont think that anyone will have an issue with 2.
rules changes - i wasnt going too, but i could ask people i guess over the weekend. what do you think?
TotalWarFanatic - May 11, 2007 07:22 PM (GMT)
Tbh, it wouldn't even effect us, if that's what you're worried about. We can always disagree and resort back to default rules. Besides, allowing people to change rules would definately make the tournament more appealing to a wider variety of players.
Just my opinion.

I like being able to negotiate rules, only thing is that any alterations to the rules should be posted publicly, in advance of the match to prevent "cheat" accusations.

That should form part of the initial negotiations between the two emissaries.
Dialogue would go something like this I imagine.
Emissary clan A: "Hi, we challenge you. Do you accept?"
Emissary clan B: "Sure. We Like default rules plus 1 ele max. Is that OK?"
Emissary clan A: "One ele max is fine with us. When can you play?"
As all this will be done publically on the forum there is no room for confusion come the time to play the battles.

If I rember right ... the default rules did not include slinger max ... for example 8 arch (different types) and a couple slingers was legal ???

We have gone for...
8 max Foot Archers and Slingers and
6 max of the same unit
Basically, archers and slingers are now classed together and you are allowed to bring 8 in total.
Bliz - May 14, 2007 10:55 PM (GMT)
I really think that is taking away from the original format ... dont you think ... hince the rules were copied by you guys lol .. I think they should be the same old rules and thats a vital rule that was changed .... totally takes away from some good strategies ...

Put it in the suggestions thread Bliz, see what everyone else thinks?
Oisin - May 14, 2007 11:03 PM (GMT)
Did anyone bring more than 8 foot missile units last time?
I never saw it if they did - though doesn't mean it never happened of course <_<
Will let others have a opportunity to comment though...
Vangelis - May 15, 2007 06:20 PM (GMT)
in CWB it was
max 8 foot missile
this includes archers and slingers
dont include HA javelins and headhurlers
also max 2 ha with cc that count as cav but not as archer
tha max for cav was 8
The Titan - May 15, 2007 06:57 PM (GMT)
posted my reply in the other thread
basically, last year it was, as vangelis says - "max 8 foot missile" - which meant max 8 on foot archers AND slingers.
my other reasons are in the other thread, but i support the current rule to stop archer spamming.
